Summary: Hotel was nice…fun and quirky as Moxy hotels are. The bed was super firm which isn’t a fit for us. There was only about 18 inches of cleanse on the top bunk for the 17 year old with us. Good thing she’s thin or she wouldn’t have been able to roll over in bed. The parking garage setup is crap. Getting to it from inside the hotel AND getting out of it once parked/on foot are both ridiculous. Neither are marked well and in some cases not at all. It was very frustrating have to do a couple flights of stairs with our luggage just to get to the parking garage.

Summary: The hotel was really nice! Clean which made it much more comfortable to stay. I enjoyed the idea of the supply cabinet in each hall with toiletries, towels, and wash cloths. I wish they had thicker blankets for the bed as I get cold and also enjoy cushy comforters at hotels. Also could use more pillows but I checked in so late I didn’t want to ask for them. I like the complimentary drink card too. Didn’t get to use it but will do so next time I’m in Richmond!

Summary: Was a lovely, quick stay. We had an interior (no window) room which was a nice surprise. We got the best sleep!! Our entire family almost slept through checkout! The lobby with the games was a nice option for our kids. My husband and I got drinks at the bar and there seemed to be a nice gathering of people. The drink tickets were a nice bonus! We used some for coffee the next morning. Oh, my favorite part was the housekeeping cards in the rooms. We NEVER have cash so having the option to tip with the QR codes via Venmo was very convenient! They should consider these cards at the bar for the staff.

Summary: We had a great time here! Mello(w) checked us in and out at the front desk and they were fun and enthusiastic! Hannah was a great bartender, we loved watching them work and chatting. Such a fun and unique hotel, I highly recommend staying here. We also ate at Penny Lane right across the street. And Broad Street is just a short walk away.

Summary: I’m not much of a traveler yet, but this hotel really went above what I expected considering the charge for the stay. Will most definitely recommend to friends and family. Cleanliness, staff, decor, everything was A1. If you’re tired of the bleak, standard hotel decor, come to Moxy. In Richmond VA particularly, it’s perfectly situated in downtown, surrounded by everything an out of towner might be interested in, including a large parking garage directly next to the hotel. My stay could not have been more pleasant or streamlined. Only thing missing would be a Porte-cochère but I’m sure other locations have one.

Summary: Such a fun property. The moment we walked in the staff was incredible (shout out to Mellow!!). They welcomed us with free drinks. The space has a games and different spaces to kick back and hang with your friends or find a quiet corner. We stayed in the double queen room and the bed set up was so fun and created so much space. We will be back. Traveled July 2025 with two dogs and toddler.
